Travel: Hong Kong to Seoul

March 11, 2011

After visiting Tokyo, I few back to Hong Kong. Before I knew it, I found myself back at the Hong Kong International airport. At this point, all I wanted to do was just sit and stare for an hour. I haven’t fully adjusted to all the time changes yet. However, despite my exhaustion, I was excited for the wonders that were waiting for me in Seoul.

What I realized about Seoul and it’s people is that they’re very conscious about quality. Not just quality in goods that they produce or acquire, but quality in their food, experience and service. Like most of the other Asian countries I visited on this trip, Seoul is very deeply rooted in ritual but looking forward to what’s new and what’s next. What sets Seoul apart is that it’s a very design conscious city that will not shy away from gaining influences from other parts of the world.  No wonder it’s become one of the design epicenters in the world, which made my time there extremely enjoyable and eye opening.
